ABOUT ME
Hello, I'm Dan and I am a photographer based in Dunkirk, New York
My photography reflects a little bit of everything; I try to avoid getting trapped into a specific photography niche. That said, I am usually drawn to nature, rural areas, or run-down urban areas. I especially like places where nature thrives despite the nearby humanity.
When I am not carrying my camera, I teach English courses at my local college, and at home my wife and I have two growing boys. In my spare time I like to be outdoors camping and hiking or indoors reading a good book.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I hire you?
Please note that if you are looking for a wedding or event photographer, I'm probably not your guy.
Can I buy a picture?
Of course! You can click HERE to go to the Prints & Canvas page. That will show you what images I currently have for sale, and from there you just have to chose the size print you want. If there is something special or a photo in a gallery that is not listed in the store, you can just let me know by using the Contact Me button up above.
What kind of camera do you use?
I currently use a Canon 90D DSLR camera with several lenses for different purposes. I use a Tamrom 150-600mm lens for wildlife, a 24mm Canon lens for street photography, and 45mm Tamron when I'm not sure what I will be shooting.
I love shooting film on vintage cameras, too! My medium format Mamiya RB67 is my favorite right now, but I really like the old Pentax and Konica cameras I have, too.
If you could be any animal, what would you want to be?
Hrmm, that's a tough one! I'm going to go with a Cooper's Hawk, dodging through branches, swooping down on unsuspecting squirrels, and looking majestic the whole time. Yeah, I would definitely be a hawk :)
